Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Abstract clinical and demographic data from patient records, including electronic health records (EHR), pathology reports, and treatment history.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely entry of data into our databases.
- Implement and adhere to established data collection protocols, maintaining compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with oncologists and clinical staff to clarify data points and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing abstracted data for research and clinical usage.
- Participate in quality assurance processes to continuously improve data integrity and reporting practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest oncology research and data collection methodologies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare data management, ideally within an oncology setting. We are looking for individuals who possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in health information management, nursing, or a related field.
- Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential preferred but not required.
- Experience in medical coding or clinical data abstraction.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and data management software.
- Strong analytical skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines.
