Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive hockey program that aligns with our mission and values.
Lead coaching staff in the creation of individual training plans and team strategies.
Foster an environment of skill development, sportsmanship, and respect among players, coaches, and parents.
Organize and oversee hockey events such as tournaments, clinics, and camps.
Collaborate with other sports directors to enhance cross-training opportunities for athletes.
Monitor the performance of players and coaches, providing guidance and support where needed.
Develop partnerships with local schools and community organizations to increase participation in our program.
Manage the program budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including players, parents, coaches, and board members.
Stay updated on hockey trends, coaching techniques, and player development strategies.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a hockey coach or in a leadership role within a hockey organization.
Strong understanding of hockey techniques, training methodologies, and player development.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A valid coaching certification and background check are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with youth athletes and developing inclusive programs.
Knowledge of sports psychology and athlete mental health.
Previous experience in program management or administration.
