Hockey Director Job

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive hockey program that aligns with our mission and values.
- Lead coaching staff in the creation of individual training plans and team strategies.
- Foster an environment of skill development, sportsmanship, and respect among players, coaches, and parents.
- Organize and oversee hockey events such as tournaments, clinics, and camps.
- Collaborate with other sports directors to enhance cross-training opportunities for athletes.
- Monitor the performance of players and coaches, providing guidance and support where needed.
- Develop partnerships with local schools and community organizations to increase participation in our program.
- Manage the program budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including players, parents, coaches, and board members.
- Stay updated on hockey trends, coaching techniques, and player development strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a hockey coach or in a leadership role within a hockey organization.
- Strong understanding of hockey techniques, training methodologies, and player development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A valid coaching certification and background check are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with youth athletes and developing inclusive programs.
- Knowledge of sports psychology and athlete mental health.
- Previous experience in program management or administration.
