Job Responsibilities
As a member of the Kisan Call Center team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Responding to farmer inquiries through phone calls and providing accurate information regarding agricultural practices.
- Guiding farmers on pest management, soil health, crop selection, and irrigation techniques.
- Updating and maintaining records of calls received and information provided.
- Reviewing agricultural trends and staying abreast of new research developments to adequately assist farmers.
- Collaborating with agricultural experts to create FAQs and informational resources for common queries.
- Conducting follow-up calls to ensure farmers have understood the provided information and are satisfied with the assistance.
- Assisting in training sessions for new employees as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and traits:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in Hindi and English (knowledge of regional languages will be an added advantage).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in agriculture and supporting farmers in their endeavors.
- Experience in call center operations or customer support is a plus.
- Computer literacy with familiarity in MS Office and call center software.
